Clyde Columbus Poole, age 90, of Granite Falls, North Carolina entered into the gates of Heaven and into the presence of his Lord on Monday, April 22, 2024. Clyde was born April 1, 1934 in Caldwell County to the late Charles Poole and Ella McGee Poole.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Flowers Poole.
Clyde was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir, he retired from the furniture industry. Clyde was a pillar of his community and was loved by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Charles Poole of Granite Falls, daughter, Janelle Cook and husband Gary of Casar, a foster-daughter, Peggy Silver of Valdese, and other foster children, two sisters, Annette Bolick and Jessie Clark, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss Clyde greatly.
A Celebration of Life to honor Clyde will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Craven, Rev. Jeff Lambert and Rev. Daniel Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:45 pm until 2:45 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church.
