Connie Annas Bradshaw passed away on Monday, June 1, at the age of 93 at 11:34 am at Amorem Hospice of Hudson. She arrived in Heaven in the twinkling of an eye at 11:34 am. All expenses for her trip were paid on an old rugged cross 2000 years ago. Mom fought a good fight, finished her course, kept the faith, and there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness.
She was born July 19, 1932, in Caldwell County to the late Coney F. Annas and Callie Braswell Annas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, to whom she was married for 67 years; three brothers, Foy, R.A., and Rev. Mack Annas and one sister, Nancy Coffey.
Survivors include one son, Michael (Treva) of Lenoir and one brother, Rev. Nick Annas (Norma) of Collettsville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom told me she wanted to play a song for Jesus as soon as she got to Heaven.
She now joins Dad in the Heavenly choir where I can picture her playing the piano and him leading the singing. God needed a good pianist so He picked the very best. She was an accomplished pianist with God-given talent, (rarely ever looking up at a song book), and played the piano for almost 89 years at many churches throughout Caldwell and Catawba counties. She also played for the Melody Four Quartet for over 30 years.
At age 93, Mom had grown old. Now she is in a land where she'll never grow old.
I love you very much Mom. But God loves you more. This is not goodbye. It's just until we meet again.
Mom preached her own funeral but we will celebrate her life with a service at Cedar Rock Baptist Church on Sunday, June 7, at 3:00 pm with Rev. Benny Hendrix and Rev. Bobby Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:45 to 2:45 pm.
Special thanks go to the nurses and staff at Amorem for their tender care. We extend extra special thanks to Amorem nurse, Anita M. Haas, who has been a dear friend of the family for more than 20 years.
Pallbearers will be Keith Coffey, Jimmy Bryant, Roger Bumgarner, Fred Lowrance, David Annas, and Mark Annas.
In lieu of flowers, do a good deed for someone (family member, friend, stranger) to show that you care.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Connie Annas Bradshaw.
