Conway Minton

Mr. Minton was born in Wilkes County to the late William Robert Minton and Angeline Katie Hawkins Minton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Chelsie and Kenneth Minton, and one great-grandchild Caden Chester.

Mr. Minton was retired from Bernhardt Furniture after 40 years of service and attended Gospel Truth Ministries.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Juanita Minton; his daughters, Libby Chester and husband Harvey of Wilkes County, and Connie Renea Grose and husband Bennett Lee Grose of Ferguson; his brother, David Carroll Minton and wife Phyllis; his sisters, Pauline White and husband James, Beulah Hamby, Louise Prestwood and husband Sam, and Hallie Greene; his grandchildren, Derrick Chester, Summer Combs, Tyler Chester and Conner Grose; his great-grandchildren, Nate Chester, Roxie Chester, Caleb Chester, Lacie Minton, Eleos Chester, Elijah Chester and Ethan Chester.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Mike Minton officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
