Reverend Daniel Joey Boughman

Reverend Boughman was born in Caldwell County on November 29, 1939 to the late Garland Hardin and Ruth Elizabeth Nelson Boughman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Greer and Lois Parrish.

He served his country in the United States Army and was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God for forty-two years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn Hodge Boughman of the home; a son, Daniel Joey Boughman, Jr. and wife Tammy of Lenoir, NC; three daughters, Deborah Yelton and husband Timothy of Taylorsville, NC, Kristal Turnmire and husband, Scott of Lenoir, NC, Kelly Spann and husband, Harley of Valdese, NC; two brothers, Donald Joel Boughman and wife, Brenda, David Boughman and wife Jackie; three sisters, Loretta Storie and husband, Richard, Lillian Sheets, Donna Hendrix and husband, Richard; and six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, that he loved dearly.

A funeral service for Reverend Boughman will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11:00 am at Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Elder Robert Hayes and Reverend Keith Gilliam officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir, NC. The family will receive friends, Monday, June 13, 2011 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Dishman, Mark Braswell, Michael Sheets, Donnie Sheets, Michael Teague, Joe Thomas, Earl Presnell and Brett Storie.
