IN THE CARE OF
Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home
Daniel Jack Craven, 87, of Lenoir, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
Born on August 25,1934, in Wilkes County, he was the son of the late Ted and Blanche (Miller) Craven. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his sons, Daniel Jack Craven ll and Christopher Clay Craven.
Mr. Craven proudly served in the United States Army in the 1950’s .
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Peggy Lynn Craven, and the apple of his eye granddaughter Abigail Craven both of the home. His daughters; Linda Propst and husband Kenny of Granite Falls, Stacie Kaufman and husband Troy of Hudson, and a "bonus" son Micheal Pearson, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Jack was a true cowboy, with a lifelong love of horses. He owned and operated Blancheland Stables and Tack, where he spent out his days with the love of his life Peggy, boarding, training and showing horses. You could always find him at home or the barn, probably talking with a friend, telling stories of his life.
There will be a private family memorial with pallbearers; Dalton Propst, Kenny Propst, Micheal Pearson, Derek Dellinger, Justin Sigmon and Biggen Waldrup. Therefore in lieu of a public receiving the family plans to have a Celebration of Life gathering for family and his many friends at a later date.
Words of comfort may be expressed to the family at www.pendrysfuneralhome.com.
Pendry’s Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Daniel Jack Craven.
