

Dan was a dedicated husband, father, & grandfather. He served as a pastor to several churches, and was an accomplished musician who earned the 2024 United States Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Teresa Lynne Arney Traxler of the home, his sons, Lee Traxler and wife Laurie George of Hickory, Kirk Traxler and wife Michelle of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dodi Traxler of Morganton, NC, grandchildren, Zack Traxler, Justin Traxler, Luke George, Aiden Traxler, Savannah Traxler, brothers, Marvin Traxler and wife Amanda of Winston Salem, Ladell Traxler of Connelly Springs, a sister, Wanda Yearwood and husband Bob of Knoxville, TN, mother-in-law, Janette Arney of Newton, sisters-in-law, Sandra Truitt of Lancaster, SC, Jazmine Arney of Newton, and his best friend, Kenny Barnes of Spruce Pine.
Also left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces nephews and extended family members.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on January 20, 2024 at Icard Church of God at 2:00 pm with Bishop Bobby Gilley and Rev. Dr. Kathy Boone officiating.
A time of fellowship and sharing of memories with the family will be held immediately after the service in the church fellowship building.
