Darlis Beane Chandler, 86, of Hudson, died Friday, Jan 13, 2017 in her home after an extended illness and declined health. Born April 4, 1930 in Wilkes County, she was daughter of the late Howard and Wilma Shoemake. She was preceded in death by a sister Hazel Hollander, brother, Gary Shoemake, husbands J.V. Beane and Claude Chandler, and daughter Carolyn Crump. Survivors are two sisters, Mable Kiziah and Edith Philyaw. Three children, Judy Myers, Luke Stone, and Reba Willard along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service held on Sat Jan 28, at 4:00 pm at Hillside Baptist Church located at 2017 South Center Street, Hickory, NC 28602.
