David Relfard Chester, age 67, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Mr. Chester was born in Caldwell County to Paul Chester and the late Bessie Chester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McGee Chester. He was retired from Wilkie Construction Company and attended Hibriten Baptist Church. He was a loving father and devoted husband.
He is survived by his son, David Jason Chester and his fiancé Denise Grogan Wilson, three brothers; Donald, Brad, Eddie Chester, five sisters; Blanche Miller, Ruth Chester, Linda Shoun, Ruby Chester and Helen Arney.
A celebration of Mr. Chester’s life will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Hibriten Baptist Church at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Dennis Tomlinson and Reverend Doug Cox officiating.
