

Mr. Allison was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Louie Devada Allison and Nannie Dee Maddox Allison. He was a foreman in the Construction Industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce E. Allison of the home; two daughters, Tammy McDowell and husband Chris of Kernersville, and Sherry Allison of Lenoir; his son, Devada Allison, Jr. and wife Tama of Remington, VA; a twin sister, Joy Allison of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Dean Tsiolkas officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home Friday, May 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Salama, Zach McDowell, Cody McDowell, Glenn Everett, Austin Everett and Chris McDowell.
