Diane Dawson Landis, age 79, of Lenoir passed peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 18, 1946 to the late Robert and Sara Dawson, who raised Diane in Asheville.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Ned Wilson Landis, Jr. and her son Paul Wilson Landis.
Left to cherish Diane's memory are her daughter Julie Landis Briest (husband Doug), her family Kayce Leanne Landis, Katrina Laxton, Helena Diane Briest, and Elizabeth Diane Landis, her brother, two nieces, and one nephew.
Diane loved to ride horses. She was a beloved teacher at West Caldwell High School. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
In keeping with Diane's wishes, there will no services.
