Every time I see a calla lily, I think of her and laugh to myself.  May God continue to bless the memory of Dietra.

She was truly one of God's gifts to the world!!!!

I served with Dietra at LKN Elevation and she was the nicest person I came to meet and serve with. There were times she was short handed working the auditorium and asked if I can help her. It was always a pleasure serving for her.  Once she needed a Welcome  sweatshirt and they were out of her size. I told her I had one and we exchanged shirts. Still have it even though I do not serve anymore since I had moved away. She was a beautiful sole. Gone too soon to be called back home. Thank you Dietra for the time I knew you,

I just found out today (10/25) about your beautiful wife, Dietra. Janet and I are just beside ourselves over this devastating news. We are so sorry for your loss. Dietra was my sorority little sister. I have shared with my daughter many times over the years what a special person Dietra was to me. Such a beautiful person. I was so shocked and saddened to hear shes gone. What a bright, beautiful light she was.

Dietra was a dear, dear friend from middle school through high school and college.  Brilliant, caring, thoughtful, outspoken, humorous (to the max) and competitive (as other friends have mentioned) are just a few words that can't even begin to capture the AMAZING person she was.  She will be greatly missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones. 

I loved Dietra Dula.  I met her when we were both in college admissions- she at LR and I at York College of PA.  She and I quickly became good friends and I am so grateful for her place in my life.  She would come north and stay at my apt and we'd laugh endlessly at silly things.  She was in my wedding and my husband Jason adored her, too. 
We reconnected about five years ago, but had not seen each other in person.  I will miss you Dietra- your smile, your laugh, and  your light!  Love you.  

Absolutely loved her so much! We traveled together back in 1994-1996 as Admissions Counselors. I roomed with her sometimes and we laughed a lot! I’m so sorry for this loss. Heartbreaking. Lots of prayers for you all. 

I haven't seen or talked to Dietra in 20+ years, but her laugh and smile will always be a part of many great memories from my early years as an admissions counselor. Saying prayers of comfort for her family.

Deitra was my first friend at LR as a freshman. We spent lots of fun times in the rainy Linville Gorge camping for over a week with the LR Outward Bound program. She was such a fun person to be around and really helped myself and others get a great start to the college years and continued our friendship throunghout college. She will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and close friends during this sad time..

I met Dietra at Elevation 6 yrs ago when I started serving. She was always kind and ready to welcome with open arms. I am a greeter so when I served on Saturdsys at the 5:00  service I always ran in to her by production. She would always come to me to ask for help when she was short and I never had a problem saying yes to her. She will greatly be missed. RIP beautiful lady. 

I remember meeting Dietra during my freshman year at Lenoir-Rhyne. Always poised and confident, but such a good sense of humor too! She will be missed - my thoughts and prayers for all her friends and family! God bless!

Dietra and I met about 7 years ago when she started the Habitat Reading program at the school where I served as the Principal.  Our friendship grew and before I knew it, she recruited me to the Habitat for Humanity Board for Lincoln County.  I will always remember her passion and generosity for helping others as well as her bubbling personality.   Continued prayers for her family.

Dietra was always so much fun and I loved getting to know her in college.  I especially remember her competitiveness in flag football! 

Please know I’m thinking of her family during these difficult days.  A wonderful soul gone far too soon.

I first met Dietra at Lenoir-Rhyne University but it wasn’t until after I graduated that we became good friends. We worked together at Jackson Group Interactive for many years. She was my “wingwoman” and made each day an adventure. I admired her tenacity in business but it was the humor and spirit she brought to our friendship  that I’ll remember more…and miss most.

Dietra and I (Claudia Erwin) started our journey together with Aunt Agatha (Aunt Getty) who kept us as little girls in West End while our parents worked.  We were 2 little busy bodies with a lot of energy (smile).  Dietra had a  glowing personality and was very smart. When I think of her, the first thing I think about is how sweet and funny she was.  I always smile when I think of her.  She was a mover and a shaker. She will truly be missed .  I will never forget our beginnings together and the times we shared.
