Donna Ball Vance, 61, of Lenoir, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on July 29, 2026, following after a courageous journey through declining health, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 14, 1964, in Caldwell County, North Carolina, Donna lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Ball, maternal grandparents, Horace and Ruby Thompson and a brother-in-law, who she dearly loved, Dale Vance.
Donna was the heart of her family—a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished Mimi whose greatest joy came from spending time with those she loved. She faithfully placed the needs of her family before her own and created a home filled with warmth, kindness, and unconditional love. Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
A faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church, Donna loved the Lord with all her heart. Her steadfast faith was evident in the way she lived, serving others with grace, humility, and unwavering trust in God.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her beloved husband of 43 years,, Robbie Vance, of the home; her son, Travis Vance and wife, McKayla, of Lenoir; her daughters, Hailey Vance Rominger and husband, William, of Stanley, and Gracie Vance of the home; her mother and stepfather, Doris and Dale Watson of Lenoir; her sister,. Dana Cogdell and husband Clyde of Granite Falls, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kenneth and Elizabeth Vance of Lenoir, sister-in-law, Michele Vance of Lenoir, her cherished grandchildren, Lauren and Lily Rominger of Stanley, Beau Vance of Lenoir and many other extended family members whom she loved dearly.
Donna was also blessed with many devoted friends who became family including Debbie, April, Margaret, Brooke and Crystal. Their love, friendship and support were a true blessing throughout her life.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is forever at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A service to honor Donna will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Union Grove Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Rev. Sam Craven, Rev. Jeff Lambert and Rev. David Brown officiating.
