In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Cornett, Bill Cornett, Joe Cornett, and sister, Carolyn Brotherton.
Dorothy was a true girly girl, she loved hats, jewelry and makeup.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Mary Carpenter and husband Steve of Granite
Falls, Linda Cannon of Granite Falls, and a brother, Gary Cornett of Lenoir.
A private graveside service will be held to honor Dorothy's memory.
