She was born April 19, 1930 in Caldwell County to the late Robert and Mamie Hamby Goble.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Tommy Land of Sawmills, and Bob Land and wife Debra of Sawmills; grandchildren, Travis Land of Lenoir, Philip Land of Sawmills, and Justin Land of Las Vegas; great-grandchild, Jayden Land of Granite Falls; brother Joseph Goble of Lenoir; and sister, Mary Nell Goble of Morganton.
Mrs. Land was a member of Hudson First Baptist Church for over 60 years. She received recognition from the church for her dedication as church hostess for 40 years. Mrs. Land also served as WMU Leader for Caldwell County from 1996 to 2001 and again from 2004 to 2007. She was Assistant Leader from 2002 to 2003. Mrs. Land worked for many years at Blue Bell and retired from Kincaid. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and volunteer at the hospital.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Land will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Hudson First Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Jarvis and Rev. Jim Hamby officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
