Edward D Harper Jr, "King Of Harper Town", beloved husband of 53 years to Sheilah I. Harper, retired Mathematics Teacher and Omega Psi Phi alumnus, passed away suddenly on Thursday September 30, 2021 in Wilmington, DE.

Edward is the son to the late Edward D. Harper Sr. and the late Eunice Harper. He is the father of the late Eleanor Harper-Jones, Erikia Harper-Warner and Erin Harper. Edward is the grandfather to Edward Harper, Darby Jones, Jordan and Jerome Perkins, Colby and Curtis Warner. Great grandfather to Edward Harper.

He is the brother to Janet Gordon, Linda Harper, Eunice Day, Brenda English, the late Victoria Dixon, Aleca Larson and Pamela Hendrix. Edward is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends. Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 09,2021 at the a First Church of God (Harpertown) 1020 Broadway St NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
