

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Arthur Monroe Gragg and Alta Lucille Gragg, maternal grandparents, Dale Mentink and Gertrude Mentink.
Elijah adored his family, and was a very loyal friend, always willing to help those he loved. He was an amazing cook and was known as a great pitmaster. Elijah was a hard worker and worked with his dad in the family business for many years. He loved to hunt and fish and held a love for the outdoors in general. He will be remembered for his kind nature, loyalty to those he loved and his humor. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Rebecca Fite of the home, a sister. Cassandra Gragg of Lenoir and a nephew, Terrance Washington.
A service to honor Elijah will be held privately. Immediately following the service, burial will take place in the family cemetery.
