

Born in Caldwell County on December 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Albert Jenkins and Mattie Mikeal Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Honeycutt is also preceded in death by her husbands, George Honeycutt and Clarence Russell; five brothers, Jay, Ray, Hoover, Dallas and Sherrill Jenkins; three sisters, Estelle Suddreth, Mattie Whittington, Katherine Minton and an infant sister.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Wilma Greene of Lenoir, Betty Hefner (Earl) of Conover, Jean Bristol (Paul Dishman) of Hudson, Barbara Greer of Lenoir, Jeanette Crotts (Danny) of Granite Falls, Elaine Nelson (Ken) of Collettesville, and Julia Dula (Tom) of Granite Falls; brothers, John Jenkins (Mable), Louie Jenkins, and Jim Jenkins; sisters, Janet Jarvis ( Mack Jarvis), Jean Lewis, and Lillie Jenkins; sixteen grandchildren ; twenty-four great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren.Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Services honoring Mrs. Honeycutt’s life will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at North Catawba Baptist Church at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Rev. Mack Jarvis III and Rev. Doug St. John officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Keith Mull, Christopher Mull, Jason Kanupp, Kevin Minton, Rob Nelson, John Blair, J. D. Blair and Thomas Welch.
