

Born on April 23, 1936, in Lacrosse, Wisconsin, Elizabeth was the daughter of Walter P. and Myrtle (Exley) Marco. She graduated from Lacrosse High School in 1954 and soon after began building a life centered around love and community. In 1956, she moved to Marion, where she would spend the majority of her life nurturing her family and contributing to her church. Elizabeth worked in an administrative capacity for many years and retired from St. Paul Catholic Church and School. Her dedication to her work reflected her deep commitment to her faith and the people around her. She was known for her caring nature and gentle spirit—qualities that made a lasting impact on those who knew her.
She was a loving wife to her late husband, Donald C. Knutson, and a devoted mother to her children, Jani D. (Joe) Kersey and Jon Paul Knutson. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Amanda Kersey and Stephanie Kersey.
Elizabeth found great joy in spending time with family, participating in church activities, and volunteering within her community. Her kindness touched many lives, and she will be remembered for the warmth she brought into every room.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, William Marco, Ambrose Marco, Alvina Miller; and sister-in-law Leona Marco.
In keeping with Elizabeth's wishes, private services will be held.
