Eric Eugene Wood

Eric attended Welcome Home Baptist Church. He had been employed with Thomas Home Furnishings for 20 years and was a member of the Unifour Plastic Pros. He loved riding his motorcycle and building model cars.

Mr. Wood was born in Caldwell County and was the son of David Wood and Carleen Hatley Wood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Hoyle; brother-in-law, Ted Hoyle Jr; maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; a brother, David Wood II and wife Shari of Valdese; a sister, Penny Campbell and husband Billy of Granite Falls; his beloved dogs, Bruno and Gracie.

The Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Reverend Adlene Wheeler officiating burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Taylor, Storm Taylor, Jimmy Robertson, Michael Hoyle, Bill Randall and Dustin Moody.
