Florence worked at Snyders Rest Home for some 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and a friend to those who knew her.
She enjoyed family, junking, and a good cold Pepsi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert William Hightower.
Florence is leaving all who loved her: husband, Joe Hightower of Lenoir; daughter, Joy Hightower Wellborn and husband Earl Wellborn, Jr. of Gamewell; 5 grandchildren, Joseph and Ryan Hightower both of Lenoir, Kurt, Tara, and Nina Wellborn all of Lenoir; 2 great grandchildren, Skyler and Eden; 2 brothers, Allen Lee Snyder and Joe (Jackie) Snyder, Jr. both of Lenoir; and a host of loving relatives, belated kin, and friends.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Snyder officiating.
