Fred Hoover Greene

Mr. Fred Hoover Greene, 90, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.
Mr. Greene was born on May 16, 1928 in Caldwell County to the late Hiram Ira and Francis Belle Greene. He was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Reba Greene of the home; one son, Timothy Greene and wife Wanda; one daughter, Cynthia Blake and husband James; two grandchildren, Benjamin Blake and wife Angela - and her mother Janet Bean - and Ashley Blake and fiancé T.J. Hudson; one great-grandchild, Trevor Hudson, and one great-grandchild on the way, Nathan Hudson, who the family awaits in October; six sisters, Pansy Greenlee and husband Bob, Onabelle Bolick, Betty Ruth Rothrock and husband Phillip, Coleene Triplett, Rachel Thompson and husband Charles, Rosemary Philyaw and husband Venoy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Greene was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Gene Greene and two brothers-in-law, Alvin Bolick and James Triplett.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenoir with Rev. Bennett Helton officiating.
The family requests memorials be made in Mr. Greene’s honor to either Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street SW, Lenoir, NC 28645 or the Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4831 Kirby Mountain Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.

I remember brother Fred from when I was a teenager, and my dad, Ray Walker pastored Mulberry. Brother Fred was always so kind. I also remember him to be a hard worker, and his faithfulness to God's house. My prayers go out to all of his family.
