Mrs. Bentley was born on May 13, 1943 in Caldwell County to the late Florence Cooke Price. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was momma to many people and will be greatly missed by all who love her. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alf and Florence Price, her husband, Edward Phillip Bentley Sr., the love of her life, brother, Roger “Buck” Cooke, sister, Cheryl Miller and a step-son, Edward Phillip Bentley Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Tim Cooke of Granite Falls, Max Tester, Michael Tester, Phillip Bentley, Jeffery Bentley, all of Lenoir, step-son, H. Doug Bentley, step-daughter, Kathy Greene, a special companion, Joseph Worth Greene, grandchildren, Katelin, Kendall, Matthew, Jessica, Danielle, Emily, Morgan, Destiny, Ashton, Grayson, Ally, Jemma and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers, Johnny and David Price, of Lenoir, sisters, Sue Blevins of Lenoir, Lisa Ruppert, of Lenoir, Sylvia Laney of Hudson, Pat Minton, Donna Cardwell and Sandra Brown, all of Lenoir. Also left to cherish her memory is a lifelong friend, Carolyn Anderson of Lenoir.
A funeral service to honor Mrs. Bentley will be held on Friday May 10, 2019 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Lance Main officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
