Gail Frances Bean Duncan, 81, of Caldwell County, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

She was born July 17, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Horace E. Bean and Kitty Hilton Bean.

Gail loved to crochet and play bingo. In her spare time, she volunteered at the Wig Bank and Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mountain Grove Church in Granite Falls and also attended Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Willard J. Duncan, Three brothers; Wiley, Ray and Howard Bean and a great grandchild, Adam J. Plumley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Greg Duncan and wife Jennifer, and Christopher Duncan and wife Diane; both of Granite Falls, Grandchildren; Melissa Duncan; of Charlotte, Kristy Wiggs and husband Patrick; of Newton, Danielle Mauney and husband Daniel; of Taylorsville, Morgan Duncan; of Granite Falls, Jodi and Brian Triplett; both of Lenoir, Mandy Sawyer; of Sawmills, Great Grandchildren; Kinsley Mauney; of Taylorsville, Caitlin Triplett, Tyler Triplett; of Lenoir, Abby Farthing, Megan Farthing and Hayley Sawyer; all of Sawmills.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church of Lenoir at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 1, 2018 with Rev. Sam Craven officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service.
