Mr. Gordon Mock 89 of Lenoir/Morganton N.C. passed away at Burke Palliative Care. He was the son of the Late Earl F. Mock and Mary M. Mock, born 7/11/1931 in Miami Fla. Grave side rights Sunday Jan.10th at Hartley Hill Cemetery for Family.
In addition to Parents He was preceded in Death by his loving Wife Virginia Presnell Mock. Mr. Mock has one sister living, Margie Arnett, 93 of New Hampshire.
He was a dedicated loving Father and Grandfather of 4 Biological children and 2 Grandchildren that he raised.
He leaves behind One Son, Barry G. Mock (wife Genise); also three Daughters in Order, Gloria J. Hartley, Judy A. Laghzil and Mary E. Jackson (hsb. Rick); Grandchildren in order, Jennifer J. Huskey, Tim Baker, MaryAnn Greene*Cox, Krystal Hensley, Chris Mock, Deanna Boone, Christy Hartley, Scotty Calloway, Tonya Helton, Danny Billings and Joey Winebarger. Mr. Mock will fondly be remembered by 20 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Mock was a member of Hartland Baptist Church of Morganton N.C. He faithfully served our Country in the US Navy and US Army, He was a businessman and owner of Gordons Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, where he will be lovingly remembered for his sacrificial service to the needy and elderly in the Kings Creek Community and all areas around for 30 plus years.
We his family feel blessed and honored to have had been given the time we have had with him. He will be remembered for his love for God, Country and sacrificial unconditional Love for his family. Rest in Peace Daddy.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hartley Hill Cemetery in Lenoir with Rev. Todd Smith and Rev. Matthew Grindstaff officiating.
The family requests that memorial be made to Hartland Baptist Church at 3730 Hartland Rd. Morganton, NC 28655.

I fell out of touch with my PeePaw, but I loved him with all my heart!! Just wanted to share a memory of him with his first Great Great Grand Daughter. It was a special moment for my daughter and me. Even though I did fall out of touch with him, I will miss him.
