

Gwendolyn passed into Heaven peacefully on March 17, 2016 at the age of 80. She was born May 9, 1935 in Winston Salem, NC to Hattie Mae Jackson Belcher and Joe Belcher. She was formally educated in the NC School System.
She was married to Wade Osborne Daniels (New York) and had 6 children. Debra Bailey of New York, Wade Osborne Jr., Linda A. Corpening (Arthur Sr.) of Lenoir, NC, Calvin O. Daniels (Shiela) of Lenoir, NC, Avery W. Daniels, and Anthony L. Daniels of New York.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Hattie Mae Jackson Belcher and Joe Belcher, her grandparents, Ada Smith Jackson Barnard and Vance Jackson, her husband Wade Osborne Daniels, and her precious sons Wade Osborne Jr. and Avery Wade Daniels.
Gwendolyn is survived with a very blessed legacy of two nieces Delores Hayes (Clyde) of Florida, Regina Harris (Glen) of New York, and a nephew Wilbert T. Tarrant of New York, 16 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great- Great Grandchildren.
Gwen AKA "Granny" will be missed by a very devoted friend Victoria Manfredonia and her entire family.
Gwendolyn was a very loving and caring person loved by many. Her infectious smile lit up any room she entered. Gwendolyn may have been a very small woman in stature, but her personality was as big as the ocean. Most importantly Gwendolyn was a Christian and she loved God.
The funeral services for Gwendolyn will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-3:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
We are sincerely thankful to everyone that has helped our family through this time in New York and North Carolina. No prayer or deed is taken for granted. A Very Special Thanks to Cecelia, who spent countless hours, many on her personal time, taking care of our Mom. We are also thankful for the wonderful staff of Skyview Rehabilitation Center at Croton on the Hudson, New York.
