Harlie Clifford Wagoner

Mr. Wagoner was born October 21st, 1936 in Wilkes County to the late Issacc and Alice Wagoner and Laura Belle Royal. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Bradley Holtsclaw, 8 sisters; Chasity, Carrie, Della, Carlie, Mandy, Rebel, Ella and Betsy, 6 brothers; Andrew, Arlie, Charlie, Abel, Gabriel and Raybel.

Harlie loved to travel to Cherokee and sit by the creek banks and listen to the water running and go site seeing in the mountains and on the parkway. He loved to visit with his children and his grandchildren loved to sit on paw-paws knee. When you saw Harlie he always had a smile on his face that would brighten up a room.

Mr. Wagoner was the previous owner of Wagoner’s Logging in which he loved doing for over 50 years.

Harlie leaves behind to cherish his memory 2 sons; Harvey Wagoner, Sr. of Lenoir, Clarence Wagoner of Asheville, 2 daughters; Virginia Wagoner lackey and husband Scott of Hickory and Lori Wagoner of Florida. He also has 6 grandsons; Harvey Wagoner, Jr. and wife Crystal, Robert Wagoner, Brian and Jonathan Holtsclaw, Adam and wife Kaylah and Joshua Wagoner, 6 granddaughters; April Wagner, Cherdawna Brittian, Ashely Wagoner and fiancé Michael Carrigan, Tequila Gilreath and husband Butch, Heather Holtsclaw and fiancé Myron Short, Donna Wagoner and fiancé Casper Perez, 20 great grandchildren; Hunter, Samaria, Scott, Jr., Skylar, Tori, Alisha, Candace, Brooklyn, Pyton,Lea, Bradley, Mylee, Bryson, Emerald, Christian, Rachel, McKenzie, Dalton, Zoey, Nicholas and Xander, 2 sisters; Mabel Royal and Retha Pike.

Funeral services for Mr. Wagoner will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Pendry’s Chapel with

Rev. David Woods and Rev. Billy Wagoner will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends from 1-3pm prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons; Harvey Wagoner, Jr., Robert Wagoner, Joshua Wagoner, Scott Wagner, Jr., Brian and Jonathan Holtsclaw. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons; Hunter Wagoner, Skylar Wagner, Bradley Holtsclaw.
