Harold Gene Brewer

He was born in Caldwell County on July 7, 1950 to the late Jessie and Dolly Kincaid Brewer.

Mr. Brewer was retired from Law Enforcement with the Lenoir Police Department and was currently employed with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department. He served his country in the United States Army. Harold was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed studying his family’s history through genealogy and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lesa Beach Brewer of the home; two daughters, Amy Brewer Minton and husband, Thomas of Salisbury, NC, Kristy Brewer Burwell and husband, Bud of Lenoir, NC; five brothers, Jimmy Brewer and wife, Theresa of Taylorsville, NC, Larry Brewer and wife, Sue of Newton, NC, Ricky Brewer of Mountain City, TN, Bobby Billings and wife, Frances of Dobson, NC, and Delbert Bolins and wife, Karen of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; three sisters, Betty Stamper and husband, Robert of Kenya, East Africia, Barbara Greene and husband, Eddie of Lenoir, NC, and Terra Jones and husband, Will of McMinnville, OR; three grandchildren, Zoe, Mya, and Dalton, and one on the way.

Funeral services for Mr. Brewer will be held, Friday, June 10, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Pendry’s Chapel with the Reverends Myron Davis and Randy Church officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, NC. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy, Larry, and Ricky Brewer, Bobby Billings, Eddie Greene, JR. and Thomas Minton.
