Harold Dean Pipes

He was a proud Veteran in the U.S. Marines.

He was born December 30, 1948 to Fred Vernon Pipes, Sr., and Annie Jeanette Pipes of Caldwell County, NC.

He is preceded in death by his father Fred Pipes, Sr., his mother Annie Jeanette Pipes, one sister Edna Sue Wilcox, one brother Fred Vernon Pipes Jr.

He leaves behind his sister Mildred Pipes Moore, brother-in-law Willard Odean Wilcox, and sister-in-law Lois Hamby Pipes.

He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by many wonderful caregivers at Waters of Roan Highlands (they were like family).

The family will receive friends at Pendry's Funeral Home, Lenoir NC January 1, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM with the funeral in the chapel of Pendry's Funeral Home following the visitation. Preacher Jeff Greene will be officiating.

Burial will take place in the McLeod Cemetery in Buffalo Cove, NC.
