Mrs. Helen Crisp Kirby

Helen was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Blanche Crisp. She was preceded in death by her husband Shuford Kirby, two brothers; L.B. Crisp and L.C. Hudspeth and wife Marie; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Kirby.

She graduated from Collettsville High School in 1949. Helen was a member of Nelson’s Chapel Baptist Church. She worked in Lenoir for 50 years. Helen worked in some restaurants, Bell South Telephone Company, and retired from Fairfield Chair Company and Ramada Inn.

Helen is survived by three sons; Lyle Kirby and his wife Cindy of Lenoir, Creig and his wife Marie of Collettsville, Letchard and his wife Sandra of Lenoir; three daughters; Pam Houck and husband Ronnie of Collettsville, Frances Honeycutt and husband John of Lenoir, Deborah Greer and husband Earnest of Collettsville; 19 Grandchildren and 32 great Grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Nelson’s Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Nelson’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Helen’s Grandsons.
