Henry Worth Deal

Born July 13, 1930 in Burnsville, NC, he was the son of the late Wade Dargen Deal and Mable Wheeler Deal.

Mr. Deal was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cantor Deal, on September 11, 2008.

Mr. Deal worked for Singer Furniture for many years and was a member of North Catawba Baptist Church.

He loved to fish, listen to bluegrass gospel music, growing muscadines, and when he was younger, he loved to coon hunt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Johnny Deal and wife Phyllis, of Lenoir and Howard Clayton Deal and wife Lucy, of Garden Grove, CA; his daughter, Pamela Deal Smith of Lenoir; three brothers, Donald Deal, Phillip Deal and Charles Deal; two sisters, Juanita DeWitt and Betty Jean Pruett. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Stacy Deal and Rev. Jonathan Deal and one great-grandson, Noah Deal.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at North Catawba Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doug St. John and Rev. Jonathan Deal officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Monday.
