Hubert Finley Clark Jr.

Hubert Finley Clark, Jr., “Junebug”, age 59 of Lenoir, NC passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 while at AMOREM Hospice in Hudson after a battle with liver cancer. Junebug was born June 25, 1966, to the late Hubert and Rita Clark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary “Sue” Clark Morgan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Phyllis Brewer of Newland, Kathy Greene and husband Harold Vance of Newland, Betty Crump and husband Johnny of Lenoir, Brenda Scott and husband Phillip of Lenoir, his nieces, Cindy, Chasity, Natasha, and Phyllis, his nephews, Gary, Scottie, Johnny, Richard, Lance, Donnie “J.R.”, and Randy, his 19 great nieces and nephews, and friend, Mae Hartley of Lenoir.

Junebug served on a Fire & Rescue squad in Avery County as a young man before working as a Personal Caregiver for Always Caring and volunteering at hospice. He was a jokester and will be remembered for his sense of humor. Junebug was the baby and only boy of his family. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Pendry’s Funeral Home in Lenoir, NC with Rev. James Moore officiating.

A private burial to follow at New Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Collettsville, NC. Pallbearers will be Gary Greene, Johnny Greene, Lance Greene, Randy Carver, Richard Crump, and Johnny Crump.

The family wishes to thank the staff of AMOREM for their kindness and the wonderful care Junebug received in his final weeks.
