James Harley Anderson

James Harley Anderson, 58, of Lenoir, NC, went home to with his Lord, Wednesday, January 19, 2011.

Mr. Anderson was born October 22, 1952, to the late David and Donetha McPhaull Anderson in Robeson County, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Helton and one infant daughter.

Mr. Anderson proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of Vision Hope and Peace and attended First Freewill Baptist. Also, Mr. Anderson served as a board member of the AFTHS. He worked at Broyhill Chair #1 for fifteen years as a repairman.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Helton Anderson of the home, three sons, Jamie Harshaw, James Anderson and wife Zandra, and Harley Anderson, all of Lenoir, NC; three daughters, Jonie Harshaw of High Point, NC, Kenita Rutherford and Khonya Rutherford and fiancé, Pervis, both of Lenoir, NC; one brother, David “Mutt” Anderson and wife Linda of Lenoir, NC; five sisters, Mary Hines of Maryland, Eutha Cook of Virginia, Clara McLean and Dora Scott and husband Jimmy all of Lenoir, NC, and Magdelene Breaux and husband, Stanley of Louisiana; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Anderson, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Wilfong, Reverend Jimmy Norwood, Pastor Myrtle Carlton and Speaker Pervis Carlton officiating.
