James Claude Bush Jr.

He was born November 24, 1935 in Caldwell County to the late James Claude Bush, Sr and Eva Leggett Bush.

Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Marietta Smith and Reverend Cindy Sloan officiating. Interment will follow at Belleview Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10am to 11am at the Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers for the service are Dick Gardner, David Colvard, Jason Wyke, Keith Murphy, Brooks Clark, and David Bush. Honorary Pallbearers are Dean Sigmon, Darrell Goble, Tommy Leslie, Harold Barnhardt, Charles Kincaid

James was of Methodist faith and an avid Fisherman. He was a 1954 graduate of Lenoir High school. He was also the President of Bush Motor Freight, which was founded by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Barnhardt Bush of the home; sons, Wesley Bush (Amy), James Claude Bush III; daughters, Serena Bush, Audrey Crane (Kenneth), all of Lenoir; brother, Dave Bush of Mebane; grandchildren, Emma and Jacob Bush.
