Mr. James “Pete” William Frye, 71 of Lenoir entered into the presence of is Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Amorem in Hudson after a period of declining health during which he was cared for by the Lane Hamby family. Mr. Frye was born January 23, 1952 in Caldwell County to the late Kenneth Paul and Lucille Burris Frye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Henderson Frye.
Pete was the owner of Frye construction. Over the years, he has mentored numerous men who went on to become very successful in the construction business and farming. Many who have been lifelong friends. He was a faithful member of Worship Point Baptist Church. James was a kind considerate man who had many friends including his church family who love him and will miss him greatly.
Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Kenneth Henry Frye, Walter Morris Frye, Mattie Burcham (Sis), Margaret Martin, Willa Dean Shatley, Mary Alice Causby, Pamela Jane Gibson and Martha Darlene Whisnant.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at Worship Point Baptist Church with Rev. Lane Hamby officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
