James Bill Biven Pennell

Mr. Pennell was born in Caldwell County, August 9, 1927, to the late Reverend Howard and Carolyn Robinson Pennell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters.

Survivors include his wife Ronie Mae Barnette Pennell of the home, one son, Terry Lynn Pennell of Spruce Pine, NC; one daughter, Anna Mae Ferguson and husband, Jeffrey of Lenoir, NC; four brothers, Buck, Bynum, Earl, and Charles Pennell, all of Lenoir, N C; one sister, Martha Haynes of Wilkes County; three grandchildren, Melody Helton, Ashley Weeks, Amy Moxley; and five great grandchildren, Ruby, Brandi, Bubby, Xavier, an Amyia.

A funeral service will be held for Mr. Pennell, Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2:00 at Pendry’s Funeral Home with Reverend Lester Honson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be James Littlejohn, Gary Dean Pennell, Gary Smithey, Randy Pennell, James Paul Smithey and Alan Crump. Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Baldwin.
