James and I went to school together at L.H.S. , and I have many good memories of us riding together to lunch in my old Trans-am. So sorry to hear of his passing, he was a great guy. Will be praying for his family and friends.

Jamie was a good friend and mentor to me. In my formative years as a "musician" he, Jody and Hope worked with to make me a stronger singer and taught me a lot about being a better musician instead of just being an entertainer. When I picked up bass at 21 he worked with me on understanding patterns, scales and modes a bit by drawing out the strings and the positioning of the notes on a piece of paper. I could have gotten that information out of any guitar magazine or book at a music store, but Jamie taught me how to understand it.
I got to jam with him and Jody at a couple of different times in my life. Once in my early 20s and later in my late 30s. It was "Music School" for me BOTH times and the lessons on life itself were even more valuable than learning to be a better player. Mainly it was because he was so darned entertaining, opinionated and funny. He always greeted me with a smile and warmth and I will never forget any of the life lessons that he imparted to me. RIP, pal! I'm thankful that you were a part of my life.

Jamie was one of the greatest guitarists to come out of Caldwell County. He was a friend and inspiration to me when I was growing up. I will miss him dearly.

Jamie I’m gonna miss seeing your face at Icey Freeze. You always said the sweetest words to me and my girls. It hurts my heart that you won’t be here to celebrate the baby being born with me. You told me many times you hope it’s a baby boy so he can go fishing. I’m gonna miss you tons. Love always, Traci, Jason, and the girls!!!!

Jamie, you (and all our cousins) are my childhood. My earliest memories of play, fun, and most of all music involve you and those memories are precious.
Fill Heaven with your music, using your remarkable God given talent.
Play your guitar for Jesus, tell Him some of your fishing stories. Hug Granny and your mom.....your aunts and uncles who were waiting on you...and if you would, please give my mom and dad a special hug from me.

Till we see each other again....
(Greg and I and Tonya will look after Jody!)

Love you, Tammy
