Javier Alberto Henriquez

Mr. Henriquez was born in New York to Javier Tomas Henriquez of New York and the late Alma Delia Rodriguez. He was a carpenter who loved his job and enjoyed his work.

He had a personality that people were instantly drawn to. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a friendly and lovable person who was loved by many.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his step-father, Amilcar Rodriguez of Galax, VA; his sister, Yakita Rodriguez of Galax, VA; his maternal grandmother, Gladis Zecena and her husband, Alejandro Reyes of Granite Falls; maternal grandfather, Luis Zecena of Guatemala; his aunts, Norma Zecena of Florida, Maribel Zecena of Guatemala and Vivian Reyes of VA; his uncle, Oswaldo Cardona of Granite Falls; numerous cousins.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Pastor Adolfo Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Oswaldo Cardona, Alejandro Reyes, and Amilcar Rodriguez.
