Jesse Ray Estes

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Charles Estes.

Jesse was a loving and devoted father who cherished time with his family. He attended Globe Mountain Baptist Church and Mulberry Baptist Church. Jesse loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, sitting on the front porch reading and he also enjoyed watching baseball and Nascar on television.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, James R. Estes and girlfriend, Angie Bumgarner, Brian Estes and wife Candy, daughter, Janet Fair and husband Arnold, all of Lenoir, brothers, Larry and Dennis Estes, both of Lenoir, sisters, Nelda Griffin and Carolyn Snyder and husband Joe, of Lenoir.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Caela Hager of Kansas City, MO, Matthew Nichols, Cheyanna Faw, Shania Estes, Justin Estes, Bryson Curtis and Sarah Estes, all of Lenoir and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Jesse will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Greer officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
