Dear Davis Family,
There are a few people that have passed through my life leaving a forever imprint on my heart and soul. My childhood was not filled with riches or status, but it was filled with love, laughter, and respect. Even though I have seen none of you in many, many years, I will always remember your family with being one of the wonderful chapters of my childhood. I am so sorry to learn of Jon's passing. From everything I see, he, along with all of you are loved by many - including me! God Bless you ALL! Sue Ann Bryant Burkhart

Jon was a remarkable man and a staunch supporter and contributor to youth athletics in Caldwell County. He was always a "family man" who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. I know you will miss him terribly, but I also know that your cherished memories of him will bring you comfort and joy. I offer my thoughts and prayers to your family during these sad days.

I had the great pleasure of knowing Jon as Poppa, for the majority of my life. He treated me like another grandchild and I have always loved him for that. I know how much he meant and will continue to mean to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with all. I love you all!
