John married the love of his life Christy McCarty Borders in 1998 and had four beautiful children together during their 24 year marriage; Brooklin Ramsey, husband Levi, Ashlin Borders, Madalin Borders and Colton Jonathan Borders.
He is predeceased by his dad Reverend Floyd Wayne Borders. He is survived by his four children, his mother, two brothers and many friends and family.
John worked for the Lenoir Fire Department out of high school until he retired from a back injury. He then kept a landscaping and rental business for twenty five years. John loved to coon hunt and fish. He loved to hear his girls sing and watch his son play football. He was a hard worker and provided faithfully for his family even through so much physical pain. We would like for him to be remembered for his love of his family and his funny songs and nicknames he gave everyone. He was a kind soul who had a rough turn in life. We loved him dearly through all his struggles and hard times. Although we all will miss him so much, we are thankful that he is no longer in pain.
Revelation 21:4 - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
We look forward to the day when we will see him again.
