On Saturday, August 4th, 2018 Mr. Joshua Steven Buss passed away at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

He was born in Catawba County on July 20, 1988 to Stephen Albert Buss of Icard, NC and Tracy Denise Andrews of Limerick, PA.

Those left to cherish Mr. Buss’ memory are his father and mother; one son, Aiden Liam Buss of Lenoir; two daughters, Kaidence Madison McCall of Lenoir and Ember Grace Moore of Granite Falls; paternal grandparents, Wallace Buss and Nelda Griffin; maternal grandmother Betty Andrews; uncle, Eddie Andrews; aunt, Sonia Richmond; and cousins, Miranda Richmond, Erik Andrews, and Ashleigh Carlton. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather William Andrews.

A Funeral Service will be held at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 11, 2018 with Reverend James Todd officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mulberry Baptist Church in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers are Erik Andrews, Randy Hoyle, Jonathan Hatton, Van Beach, Mark Lewis, Chip Patrick and Scott Barlow. In addition to his love of music and motorcycles, Mr. Buss was passionate about helping people. As a result of his passing he was able to save four lives by donating his heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. Above all else, his three children were his life. Josh was my nephew - my sister's grandson. I haven't seen him for a few years, but I do remember how much he loved his daughter. He had two more children later, and they were both taken under his care. That kind of fatherly love shows strength of character.
To Betty, Tracy, Kaidence, Ember, and Aidan - my heart is broken over Josh's death. There is so much good to remember.

I had recently met Buss but just the short amount of time I knew him, he made a huge impact in my life! Felt like I had known him forever, he will be missed! His smile was contagious and "He was cute as a button"; 😊 he said "Its the hair, gets them everytime".....😂 that was a great day! RIP Buss 🕇 Love ya dude 🕶♪✌ #PrayingForHisFamilyAndChildren💙
