Joyce Lynnette Benfield

Joyce Lynnette Benfield, age 71 of Granite Falls, passed away, on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at at Amorem Hospice. Born Monday, September 24, 1951 to the late Dollie Cannon Benfield and Charles Benfield, in Caldwell County NC.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her Brothers Dale, Jerry, Donnie, Ronnie, David, and Charles, Sisters Hazel and Alice as well as, Sons Brian and Jerry, and Grandson Holden.

Miss. Benfield is survived by her Daughter Jamie McNeil (Shaun), Julie Charlisle, and Jeanie McGinnis. Grandchildren, Hunter, Colby, Cade, Aaron, Bryson, Trevor, Christina, Brianna, Dylan, Jonathan. Great grandchildren, Lora, Zoey, Lilly, Aubery, Colton, and Parker. Left to remember their childhood memories are Sisters “Cricket” Gloria, Betty, Barbara, Beverly, and Carolyn, along with best friends Cindy and Debbie. Family will always know her as an, “Angel on Earth”.

Joyce attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where she was known for being a “Child of God”. She will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, caring and kind. Being very selfless and thoughtful was a trait that everyone loved about her. Spending time with family, in the Word of God, watching birds and the beauty of flowers, is how she enjoyed her days.

The Benfield family will host a Celebration of Life service starting at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, located at 3555 Christie Rd, Hudson, NC 28638.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the church.

Inurnment will be with the family.
