Judith Nadine Rogers

Judith Nadine Craig Rogers, 64, of Granite Falls, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Caldwell County to the late Clarence Ernest Craig and Judith Kincaid Craig. She was employed with Blue Ridge Electric for 24 years and was a member of North Catawba Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, Gammie, aunt and sister. She loved to cook and bake, especially her famous chocolate chip cookies.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, Howard Rogers of the home; her son, Jonathan Rogers and wife Shannon of Hickory; her daughter, Jennifer Rogers Lail and husband Jason of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jon Michael Rogers of Hickory, Kaden and Carson Lail of Granite Falls; a sister, Wilma Pennell of Hudson; a special niece, Tracy Poarch, her husband Mark and their children, Dylan, Bailey, and Carly of Hudson.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at North Catawba Baptist Church at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Nick Wilson and Reverend Roger Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be William Rogers, Brian Rogers, Scott Rogers, Rob Jessen, Terry Helton and Alan Coonse.
