Mrs. Judy Ann Dickenson Hendrix, 65, of Lenoir passed away on September 17, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare following a short illness. Mrs. Hendrix was born February 19, 1956 in Macomb County Michigan to the late Leonard and Lossie Daniels Dickenson.
Judy was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She liked to attend church and go to Atlanta Braves Baseball Games. She also loved to read and go shopping. Her dog, Buddy was her companion and by her side always. She loved Buddy very much.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Steve Coffey and wife Amy of Montezuma, Lonnie Hendrix and wife Kristen of Lenoir, brothers, Danny Dickenson of Triplett, Raymond Dickenson of Big Stone Gap, VA, and a sister, Sharon Hubbard of Michigan.
Also left to cherish her memory are her beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn Woody of Lenoir, Jordan Coffey of El Paso, TX, Garrett and Nicholas LaPrade of Montezuma and Hayden, Brayden and Aaliyah Hendrix of Lenoir. In addition are her great grandchildren, Trinnittee Woody, Maddix Woody and Kayzleigh Coffey.
A funeral service to honor Mrs. Hendrix will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Triplett officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Presbyterian Church in Lenoir.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wendell Woody, Jordan Coffey, Nicholas LaPrade, Travis Mizzell, Garrett LaPrade, Calvin Wright and Tom Hanna.
