JULIA EDNA TEAGUE Julia Edna Teague, 97 of Lumberton, formerly of Lenoir, passed away at her residence on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Ms. Teague was born in Caldwell County on August 22, 1920 to the late Wilson Thurman Teague and Nora T. Teague. Edna was a member of Kings Creek Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher there for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Bob, Bill, Horace Greely, and Walter Teague, six sisters, Mae Coffey, Erma Teague, Virginia Dare Teague, Hazel Bost, Ruby Teague and Mildred Haigler, nieces, Billie Bolick of Gamewell, Jan Morgan and husband Bill of Marion, Julie Cubeta and husband Marc of Raleigh, Laura Michael and husband Tim of Charlotte, nephew, Steve Coffey and wife Suzanne of Knoxville, TN, and numerous extended family members. A funeral service to honor Ms. Teague will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Kings Creek Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Revered Tim Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to The Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. Serving as pallbearers will be Teague Little, Christopher Coffey, David Wells, Mason Carpenter, Andy Morgan, Jody Bolick and Jeff Carpenter.
