In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by her son Michael Carlton, her brothers Lee, VL, and Clyde Carlton, and her sisters Kaye Phillips and Dallie Mae Hoyle.
Left to cherish Katie's memory are her brothers Ralph Carlton of Hudson and Rayvon Carlton of Lenoir, her sisters Ann Oakes of Lenoir and Shirley Green of Lenoir, two granddaughters McKinley Gettel and Hailey Phillips, and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor James Baker.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.
