

Kay Roy Dondanville was born in Prosser, Washington on June 25, 1931 to Seth (Roy) and Lillian Dondanville. He graduated with the Prosser High School class of 1950. He is preceded in death by his father Seth LeRoy Dondanville, his mother Lillian Dondanville, his daughter Kathleen Rezsnyak, and former wife Yvonne Dondanville (mother of his daughter). He is survived by his wife Alice Dondanville; his granddaughters Kim and Alexandria; his step-children Kirk, Eric, and Beth, his step-grandchildren Abagail and Bessie and his great-grandchildren Ryan, Connor, Cameron, Michael, Eli and Dalia.
Roy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
During his long life he lived it to the fullest. After graduating from high school, where he proudly played and lettered in football, baseball and boxing, he joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served during the Korean War. He was awarded the National Defense Service, Korean Service, and Good Conduct medals during his time served.
After his time in the Navy, Roy lived in Seattle where he raised his family, and enjoyed a long career with Boeing. He had a passion for sports especially football and baseball and spent much of his free time coaching in the Seattle area. He was a lifelong Seahawks fan and lifelong Mariners fan.
A funeral service in his honor will be held at First Lenoir Wesleyan Church, 906 Creekway Drive NW, Lenoir, N.C. on Saturday, September 14th at 2:00 p.m.
A public viewing and visitation will be held in the chapel of First Lenoir Wesleyan Church, Lenoir, N.C. on Saturday, September 14th from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Flowers are appreciated but equally appreciated are donations to the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization.
Burial will occur on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Prosser Cemetery --1601 Paterson Road in Prosser, Washington.
