Kay Mosteller

Gladys "Kay" VanHorn Mosteller, age 89, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at AMOREM Hospice in Hudson. Kay was born January 13, 1936 in Burke County to the late Annie VanHorn Huffman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby H. Mosteller, three brothers, Clarence VanHorn, Danny Huffman, and James Huffman.

Kay attended Mount Hermon United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Neda Campbell of Lenoir, Deana

Greene and husband Darrell of Lenoir, Alisa Bumgarner of Lenoir, Bobby Mosteller and wife Christy of Granite Falls, five grandchildren, Alisa, Clint, Morgan, Makensie, Alyson, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, Frances Hines of Florida, Betty Lowman of Drexel, Shirley Bumgarner of Hildebran and one brother, Sonny Snipes of Florida.

A graveside service to honor Kay will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Rev. Jim Hamby officiating.
