Kenneth Greer Watson

Mr. Watson was born on February 20, 1925 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late Calvin F. and Maybell Watson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Watson was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during World War II and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lenoir where he has been a member since October of 1958.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years, Capitola Barnette Watson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm, at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Carr and Bro. Terril Crump officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.

Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.
