Letha Irene Story

Mrs. Story was born in Catawba Co., N.C. on November 3, 1934 to the late Mr. Odell and Mrs. Connie Huffman. Letha was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Bobby Gene Story and son Johnny Story, brothers J.B., Junior and Paul Huffman, and two sisters Mildred Bradshaw and Peggy Jean Huffman.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include her son Kenny Story and wife Beth of Lenoir, N.C. and daughter Teresa Story Brakefield and husband Gary of Lenoir, N.C., six grandchildren, Spring Brakefield Belk (Jody) of Lenoir, N.C., Luke Brakefield (Katie) of Swansboro, N.C.; Lacy Story Greene (Jarrett) of Lenoir, Jared Story (Laken) of North Wilkesboro, Katie Story of Lenoir and Kennedy Story of Lenoir; ten great-grandchildren, Hannah Greene ( Fiance Gaven), Abigail Greene, Isaiah Greene, Hattie Brakefield, Henry Brakefield, Hugh Brakefield, EmberLynn Greene, Harper Story, Barett Belk, Hayden Belk, one sister Gail Parsons of Lenoir, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Letha "Tiny" loved her family and her church, Calvary Baptist Church, Lenoir, N.C. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

A funeral service for Mrs. Story will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Lenoir, N.C. on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 3:00 o'clock p.m. with the Rev. Alan Carr and Rev. Luke Brakefield officiating. Interment will occur immediately following the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park, Lenoir, N.C.

The family of Letha Story will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church on Friday, November 29, 2024 at from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
